RepairOne(R) Takes Community Care Initiative on Road to Affiliates Nationwide

BOWLING GREEN, KY USA 05/04/2004

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., June 14 /PRNewswire/ -- RepairOne(R) Automotive Concepts, LLC has launched a new initiative to extend the company's focus on community outreach to each of its 35 affiliate locations across the country. On June 8, members of the Florida-based RepairOne(R) affiliate executive team traveled to Grand Rapids, Mich., where they joined a team of national and local affiliate owners, employees, friends and family. The combined RepairOne(R) affiliate team spent the day painting apartments for homeless families, marking the first of three such corporate "mission trips" the company will make each year.

"This is a great way to extend and reinforce our corporate commitment to serving the communities we're in," said Todd Hayes, RepairOne Founding Partner. "With just one extra day, we're adding a new dimension to our affiliate program that allows us to even further improve the quality of life where our customers live and work. What a difference that one day makes."

According to Hayes, to effectively build their affiliate network, RepairOne(R) affiliate executives travel to various markets to hold meetings, review facilities and conduct research. As part of their new initiative, they arrive a day early to address a local need identified by the affiliate store in each market. In the case of the Grand Rapids homeless project, Mike and Von Veenstra of Veenstra's Garage, a RepairOne(R) affiliate, worked with the Inner City Christian Federation (ICCF) to identify a local need. The RepairOne(R) team spent the day painting the interiors of three apartments used as temporary housing for homeless families. RepairOne(R) affiliates also made a $1,200 cash donation to ICCF, which helps build stable communities by providing housing opportunities and services that encourage family responsibility and independence.

Headquartered in Daytona Beach, Fla., RepairOne(R) has also formed a partnership with Halifax Habitat for Humanity (HHH) to build a new HHH home in the Daytona Beach area. Local RepairOne(R) owners, team members, customers, friends and family will work side-by-side with HHH staff to build the home. For the first time at HHH, a web cam will be installed at the building site for the family and community to monitor construction progress online. The partnership is in conjunction with a Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) matching grant earned by HHH as a result of hurricanes that devastated the area last year. Groundbreaking for the RepairOne(R) sponsored home is scheduled for June 25, 2005.

Since opening in October 2002, RepairOne(R) has been contributing to and supporting charitable organizations and causes as part of The RepairOne(R) Pledge to serve the community. RepairOne(R) is a privately held company based in Daytona Beach, Fla., formed to create and grant the Master Franchise Rights and Area Development Rights of automotive repair and service center stores franchised under the "RepairOne" name. RepairOne(R) is an established retailer throughout the United States, with locations in densely populated, suburban areas that provide easy access for customers.
