Busch and ‘Smirnoff Ice Pit Crew' Team with RepairOne® to Provide Free Safety Checks for Race Fans Traveling to Upcoming Pepsi 400
On Wednesday, June 29 (2:00-7:00 p.m.), in an effort to help race fans arrive to the race safely and further promote its "Be Smart, Drink Responsibly" campaign, Smirnoff ICE, with defending NASCAR NEXTEL Cup champion Kurt Busch and his ‘Smirnoff Ice pit crew' will partner with RepairOne® Automotive Concepts, LLC to provide free automobile safety checks. The “Smirnoff ICE Summer Safety Zone” will include safety checks for: tire pressure, fluid levels, belts, headlights, turn signals, wiper blades and other safety tests. Busch’s ‘Smirnoff Ice pit crew’ team will work in tandem with RepairOne® ASE certified, trained technicians to perform the safety checks. RepairOne® is an automobile repair and serve center based in Daytona Beach. In addition, Busch will be giving away Smirnoff ICE-branded promotional items and signing autographs for participating motorists of legal drinking age and safe driving literature will also be distributed.
The “Smirnoff ICE Summer Safety Zone” will be located eastbound on International Speedway Blvd., just outside of Turn 1 of the Speedway in the Daytona Beach Kennel Club parking lot.

The Pepsi 400, held on Saturday, July 2, is the second of three races this year where Smirnoff ICE will serve as the primary sponsor of Busch's No. 97 Ford. Busch has one victory (Phoenix, April) and five top-five finishes this season. In his last race at DIS in February, he finished second in the series' season-opening Daytona 500.
